Strategies to get the perfect vacation property experience:
How to get the best rental home value:
- Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
- In the Isle of Palms area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
- Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for additional information.
- Often, rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Finding the perfect vacation home in Isle of Palms:
- Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Renovated townhome w\/ Pool and Tennis courts - 39 Linkside has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms vacation rental search.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the host before reserving the rental. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is right for your vacation.
- Does your family require unique amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
- Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- If your family is vacationing with pets, you must book a pet-friendly vacation rental. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- To make certain that no damages are linked to your family's visit, record any problem areas upon your arrival. Call the property manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You will increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Protect your property!
- Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Inspect the property one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- Did your family have a fantastic time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
