Getting the best Isle of Palms vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked very early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of SC. Book your Isle of Palms rental property in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Many property management companies supply Isle of Palms area travel guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the perfect Isle of Palms rental home:

  • First, have your family agree to the best dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration you need. Port O Call C201 End Unit has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the host before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Extra fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and add a note with the directions to your phone.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that damages are not attributed to your stay, make note of any problem areas when you arrive. Call the host right away to record your findings. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, complete a walk-through to make sure you did not forget any personal items. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
