Tips to get the perfect vacation rental experience:
Money saving strategies:
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier your group can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your rental home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in Isle of Palms. To find the largest rental within budget, we recommend booking in Fall or Spring months. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
- Property management companies sometimes offer promotional rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
- Property managers frequently offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
- Many management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting and booking a perfectrental:
- Select a designated group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a budget.
- Beautiful Home w\/ Deck, Walk to the Beach has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is often accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the host before booking the vacation home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your vacation.
- Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about your furry family members before booking.
- Does your group require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
More tips for your stay:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
- To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, note any problem areas during arrival. E-mail the host immediately to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be very helpful.
- Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, adjacent homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
- At departure, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Re-check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever possible. If the host is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will will be grateful for your review and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
