- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property owner before booking your rental. Note that most properties list the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
- Some properties allow pets, but some don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.
More tips for your visit:

- At Check-in, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the host. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
- Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget anything. Check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to stimulate more bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review.
