Booking the best Isle of Palms vacation rental experience:
When to reserve a Isle of Palms rental & When to go:
- Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
- June, July, and August are high season in Isle of Palms. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Finding the best rental home in Isle of Palms:
- Select a group lead, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. 2910 Palm Blvd- New Oceanfront Luxury- Pool, Hot tub, Elevator has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, call the property owner before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
- Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking
Advice for a wonderful stay:
- Review check in & check out procedures before leaving home. Save the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
- Ensure you protect the rental owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are away, just like you would back home.
- During arrival, record any issues with the property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers disrupting your peaceful home. Practice the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
- At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Leave a review! Property owners rely on excellent reviews to stimulate new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to fix it.
