Finding the best Isle of Palms rental experience:
Getting the best rental home value:
- In the Isle of Palms area, The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
- Book your Isle of Palms rental home in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your family.
- Property management companies often offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms area magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations and attractions.
How to choose the best vacation home in the Isle of Palms area:
- Select a group lead, choose your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
- Steps from Beach + Community Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you book your home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a property that allows animals. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a single event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
More considerations for your visit:
- Take a copy of the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental. Put the host's information in your smartphone.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the rental while you are gone, just like you would back home.
- To make certain no damages are linked to your family's stay, note any problem areas when you arrive. Speak to the rental manager right away to document any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- When it's time to leave, complete a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget any personal items. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Did your group have a excellent time? Most rental management companies make it easy for guests to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property manager was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.
