How to get the best Isle of Palms vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Isle of Palms rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • To book the largest rental home within budget, we highly recommend booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for additional information.
  • Look for your local Isle of Palms area magazine when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Select your vacation dates and max budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Panoramic Marsh View, Private w\/ screened porch & rooftop - 33 Marsh Island has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rentals search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available online. Otherwise, call the property management company before booking the home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a property that allows animals. Ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a certain Isle of Palms beach you are enamored with, look for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Add the property manager's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make certain damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, record any problem areas upon check in. Get in touch with the host immediately to record any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be a fantastic source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can usually help. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
