How to book the best Isle of Palms vacation home experience:
When to visit Isle of Palms & When to reserve a Isle of Palms rental home:
- The sooner you can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked very early. Reserving your rental home 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
- June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal SC. To find the best rental within budget, we highly recommend booking in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, warm weather and the absence of large crowds at Isle of Palms restaurants, tours, and activities.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your family qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
- Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.
Planning, picking, and booking a perfectrental home:
- Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a max budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your family requires. Blue Heron Manor by AvantStay
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is regularly accessible online. If not, call the property owner before you reserve your home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
- Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about your furry family members before booking.
- If there's a particular Isle of Palms destination you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
Additional considerations:
- Store the owner's information in your smartphone and wallet.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent a lot of difficulties.
- Keep your rental home locked while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
- To make sure that damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local scenic spots.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
- Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected everything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent feedback to drive more bookings. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
