Rental booking tips:
Find your best deal:
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
- June, July, and August are high season in Isle of Palms. Reserve your Isle of Palms rental in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities.
- Some property management companies offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer renters an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
- Many rental management companies supply Isle of Palms area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
How to choose and book your Isle of Palms vacation home:
- Choose your dates and spending budget.
- Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Ocean Views, Screened-In Porch, Steps Away From Beach And Pool has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rentals search.
- Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking pages. If they are not listed, call the property management company before you book the property. - If there's a certain Isle of Palms attraction you love, search for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
During your stay:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of issues.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves spoil your trip.
- To make certain damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon check in. E-mail the rental manager right away to record any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll increase your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are usually an excellent resource to find the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
- Just prior to departing, complete a walk-through to make sure you didn't leave anything behind. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
- Did your family have a excellent vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
