Finding the best rental home experience:
Find your perfect vacation home:
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable properties are reserved early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Summer time is high season in the Isle of Palms area. Reserve your vacation home in Spring or Fall to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
- Property managers usually offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area travel guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Isle of Palms area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.
Use filters to search efficiently:
- Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
- Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. ????DISCOUNTS! Rare 2nd Row, Luxury Home across from ocean ????, Pool, Hot Tub, Elevator has 6 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
- Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available online. If they are not listed, email or call the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your group.
- If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to search for a property that allows animals. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.
- Visiting for a specific event? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Tips to have a terrific stay:
- Add the owner's information to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
- Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Lock your rental home while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
- To make sure that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, record any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the rental manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor. Often times, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
- Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on great ratings to propel new bookings. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationing families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
