Tips to get the very best Isle of Palms vacation property experience:
How to get the best value:
- Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Reserve your rental in the Spring or Fall to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner if your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
- Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
- Find a copy of your local Isle of Palms area magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guide magazines contain offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
How to choose and book the rightvacation home:
- Choose vacation dates and budget.
- Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. ????3 53rd Ave~ Stunning Ocean Views, Pool, Hot Tub, Elevator, Mother-in-law Suite???? has 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds. You'll need to determine what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
- If your group is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.
- If there's a certain Isle of Palms beach you long to visit, browse homes that are either near by, or those that cater to your desires.
- Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental
Some things to know before you go:
- Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
- Property managers are there to help! Don't be shy to ask any questions during your stay.
- Keep the property locked while you are gone! Don't let burglars spoil your vacation.
- To make certain that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. E-mail the property manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
- Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your life at home. Apply the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
- Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
- Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a great time? Most rental websites make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
