How to book the best vacation rental experience:
Get the best value:
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Summertime is high season in the Isle of Palms area. Booking your vacation rental in the Fall or Spring is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
- Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
- Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer their guests an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for more information.
- Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Isle of Palms area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Selecting the best rental home in Isle of Palms:
- First, have your family choose a vacation week and a spending budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Spacious Beach Home w\/Boat Parking! Easy Walk to Marina, w\/Gameroom! has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
- Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is normally accessible online. Otherwise, email the property manager before you reserve your home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You'll need to establish which bed configuration is right for your trip.
- Some properties allow pets, and some don't. Allowable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
- Looking for unique amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Make certain to ask about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
Advice for your stay:
- Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
- Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
- Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
- Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are beneficial if there is a dispute.
- Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
- Upon check-out, take a walk-through to make sure you have not forget anything. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Go through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good feedback to stimulate new reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
