How to find the best vacation rental experience:
Get the most from your spending budget:
- Summer is the most expensive season in Isle of Palms. To get the most suitable rental within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at the beach and popular attractions.
- The earlier you can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are booked early. Booking your vacation property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation rental.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Booking websites often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms area magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.
