Tips to get the perfect rental experience:
How to get the best value:
- Summer time is high season in Isle of Palms. Booking your vacation home in the Spring or Fall is an excellent way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the high season.
- In the Isle of Palms area, The earlier you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
- Some property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family before you book.
- Booking websites usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms visitors guide magazine when you check-in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides contain discounts for nearby shops and restaurants.
