Isle of Palms rental property booking tips and tricks:
Getting the best rental home value:
- Summertime is high season in Isle of Palms. Booking your Isle of Palms vacation rental in Spring or Fall is a great way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Isle of Palms vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
- The sooner your group can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are booked very early. Booking your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
- Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
- Property management companies typically offer customers an option to buy vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
- Look for your local Isle of Palms visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.
Planning, selecting, and booking your prefectrental:
- Begin by selecting a vacation week and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Modern Ocean Front Condo!! Community Pool & Pier! has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Isle of Palms rental home search.
- Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible online. If not, email or call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
- Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby rentals.
- Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.
- Are you traveling with furry, four-legged family members? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
Additional considerations:
- Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
- To make sure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. Speak to the host right away to report your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be useful.
- Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents lots of concerns.
- Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local beaches and hangouts.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
- Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would back home.
- Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
- Record a video to document the condition of the property.
- Did your family have a terrific vacation? Most rental home management companies make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
